Vaccines don’t cause autism. Because science.

The evidence is overwhelming: vaccines are not associated with autism.

  1. Saying “vaccines don’t cause autism” may link vaccines and autism in people’s minds, and reinforce the idea that there’s a connection.
Maybe that’s one reason why the idea is so persistent. All sorts of reputable sources keep saying “vaccines don’t cause autism”.

    • Maybe the Spudd has the right idea – they had an article on how autism causes vaccines, because autistic people are more likely to vaccinate 🙂
So instead of forever reminding people about how vaccines don’t cause autism, put “autism causes vaccines” into the mental space occupied by that link.

  2. Surely The Danish large scale analysis is relevant here? A cohort of unvaccinated Danes was compared to a cohort of vaccinated Danes and the incidences of autism was identical in the two groups. So Autism is probably not caused by vaccination. Danish health records are among the most reliable in Europe.
